Break-in Markings
Presentation;
- Red or yellow lines, if necessary outlined in white to contrast with background
- Lines of 9 cm x 3 cm so that there is no more than 2m spacing between markings
Function;
- Marks areas of fuselage suitable for break-in by rescue crews in an emergency
- If you need to extinguish fire on the other side
Emergency exits
The exit has to be fitted with a means to enable passengers/crew to reach the ground safely in an emergency when;
- Height of an exit is more than 6ft (1.83m) above ground with landing gear extended, or
- Height of an exit is 1.83m above ground after an undercarriage collapse
